Planks, warriors, and hundreds, galore! Build strength, muscle tone, coordination, flexibility and improved posture while exercising in a class designed uniquely for children. M and M Pilates teaches Pilates, Yoga, Meditation, and Mindfulness in a non-competitive, stress-free environment. This practice will help participants achieve a calm and balanced mind while building a strong and flexible body.
M and M Pilates is dedicated to teaching the tremendous benefits of Yoga and Pilates to children. We bring a playful approach with games, songs, stories and partner challenges to foster self-confidence, creativity and loads of energetic fun!
M and M Pilates stands for Mommy and Me Pilates by Mary Montague. We act as a mobile studio that comes to your home, school or other organization, currently teaching up to 500 students per week! Please see the class descriptions to choose a class that is right for you.
Mary Montague
Owner/Lead InstructorMary grew up in Townsville, Australia. As a dual citizen, she moved to the US for college and earned her Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Special Education, Kindergarten-age 22 years, with an added Autism Authorization. She worked as a Special Education teacher for the Beverly Hills Unified School District for eight years. Mary completed the Pilates Method Alliance mat teacher certification through Equinox, the Yoga Alliance 200-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT) certification through Corepower Yoga, and the mini yogis foundation teaching certification for children. Mary’s goal, dream and passion is to combine her professional classroom teaching experience with her Pilates and Yoga teaching credentials to teach Mindfulness, Meditation, Pilates and Yoga to kids! In childhood, habits are easily formed, and it is Mary’s goal to promote the formation of only healthy habits.

Private Child
Children will exercise in the comfort of their own home. Class involves a fun and active Pilates and Yoga fusion, suitable for boys and girls of all ages and experience to build strength, muscle tone, coordination, flexibility, improved posture and self-awareness.
Mommy and Me
(Baby, Toddler)The cutest class to get in shape while bonding and connecting with your little one. Moms will be practicing Pilates-based exercises while playfully holding and interacting with their baby. Moms are welcome to bring to class any baby toys, blankets, etc. to allow the baby to feel comfortable. Host a group class in your home for cost effectiveness! (Dads, too!)
Mommy and Me
(Child, Teen)Bond and share in healthy habits during a unique exercise routine designed for the whole family. Class involves a Pilates and Yoga fusion suitable for the expanding age ranges to build strength, muscle tone, coordination, flexibility, improved posture and self-awareness. Host a group class in your home for cost effectiveness!
Kids-only group
This energetic class offers a child-based Pilates and Yoga practice for boys and girls of all ages and experience to build inner and outer strength. Children will learn mat Pilates exercises, yoga Vinyasa flow, and mindful breathing tools while adding in games, story telling, songs, imaginative play, stretching, strengthening and balancing. Host a group class in your home for cost effectiveness!
Private Adult
Work out in the comfort of your own home. Class involves classical mat Pilates exercises and full-body Vinyasa Yoga flow that will help you find and engage your core and leave you feeling strong, lengthened and toned.
School Setting
This class offers a child-friendly Pilates and Yoga practice within the classroom setting for boys and girls to build inner and outer strength. The students learn mat Pilates exercises, yoga poses and sequences, and mindful breathing tools while adding in games, story telling, songs and imaginative play, all to benefit the educational environment and academic success. The lessons promote a calm, controlled, mindful and engaging learning environment while encouraging kids to be joyful and active!

Special Needs
M and M Pilates tailors classes to those with special needs. This class can help reduce pain, anxiety and obsessive behaviors while developing social skills and regulating emotions. Classes offer individualization and modifications based on the needs of each participant.

Birthday Parties
A healthy way to bring energetic fun to your child’s birthday celebration! The birthday party theme can be integrated into the Pilates and Yoga class. The ‘class’ will include games, songs, partner and team activities, and challenging partner poses.
